Daveon, The Chef

Daveon has been working at the Boathouse for ten glorious years! During that time, he has moved the restaurant forward a great deal. He is currently studying for an associate degree in culinary arts and will graduate this summer 2024.

Daveon also has his own boat and is available for tours when he’s not busy cheffing!

Narissa, Ice Cream and Pizza Chef

Narissa has been working here for two years now and is proving to be a very versatile member of staff. She works in the bar, takes meal orders and plates all the food on our Wednesday drum night. She is currently taking a foundation course in pastry and baking. A pastry chef in the making!

Ezekiel, Bar Manager

Ezekiel has been with us for six years and has moved up to Bar Manager.. He assists with serving food and drinks, especially the cocktails and is always friendly and helpful.

Award-Winning Staff

We are extremely proud of the fact that in May 2019, four of our staff (Daveon, Ojani, David, and Lydian) won, as a group, a youth cooking competition.  The prize, donated by ERIC (Environmental Research Institute in Charlotteville), was a scholarship for each of them to do an associate degree at Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute.  They have recently begun their course.

We can’t wait to see them put their new skills into practice at the Boathouse!

Ojani

Ojani worked at the Boathouse for two and a half years and has been one of our talented up and coming members of staff. Like Daveon, he is also studying for an associate degree in culinary arts.

In his spare time, Ojani loves to dive. He posts some amazing videos and photos on his Insta feed!

Ojani has recently moved on to new things. We wish him well for the future.
